Jack in the Box: Awakening (spoilers)

 This was another one of the horror movies that greatly disappointed me. The premise is that there is a demon in a Jack in the Box that will grant you one wish if you open it and ask. The catch is that you have to allow the demon to eat 6 people and bring them back into the box with them. There's an old lady that has bone cancer, is in extreme pain and pleads with the demon to cure her. So, her son helps her keep everyone on the estate and let's the demon kill them. It's honestly really stupid. It had potential to be extremely scary, but between the graphics, music and overall plot, it just wasn't. The son was really unlikeable because he couldn't see past his mother. He sent 5 other people, innocent people to their deaths. And for what. He ended up dying anyways. Even though one of the house's help had managed to slit the mother's throat, once the demon got the 6th body, she came back to life. It ends in a very unsatisfying way. The girl is on the side of the road, and because we're being super realistic, the first car that passes stops to help her. And then boom, credits roll. I would not recommend this movie. I also wouldn't classify it as horror. Maybe poorly done suspense/thriller.
